Author Guidelines for Manuscript Submission


1. File Format

  • Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) only


2. Language

  • Use British English spelling and grammar


3. Font & Layout

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point

  • Double-spaced throughout (including references, tables, and figure captions)

  • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides

  • Page numbers at the bottom right of each page


4. Manuscript Structure

Title Page – Include:

  • Title of the manuscript

  • Full names of all authors

  • Institutional affiliations

  • ORCID IDs (if available)

  • Corresponding author’s contact details (email, postal address, phone)

Abstract – Structured format:

  • Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion

  • Maximum 250 words

Keywords – 3–6 keywords in alphabetical order

Main Text Sections:

  • Original Research: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (if any), References

  • Review Articles: Introduction, Methods (for systematic reviews), Main Sections, Conclusion

  • Case Reports: Introduction, Case Presentation, Discussion, Conclusion

References – Vancouver style (see Section 7)

Figures & Tables – Provided separately with clear titles and legends


5. Word Limits

  • Original Research Articles: ≤ 5,000 words (excluding references, tables, and figures)

  • Review Articles: ≤ 6,000 words

  • Case Reports: ≤ 2,000 words

  • Short Communications: ≤ 1,500 words


6. Figures and Tables

  • Number consecutively in the order cited in the text

  • Submit figures as separate high-resolution files (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF; ≥300 dpi)

  • Tables must be editable in Word (not images)


7. Referencing Style

  • Vancouver style: numbered citations in the text in square brackets [ ], matching the numbered reference list

Journal article format:
Author(s). Title. Journal Name. Year;Volume(Issue):Page–Page.

Example:

World Health Organization. Global tuberculosis report 2023. Geneva: WHO; 2023.


8. Ethical Considerations

  • Human research: Include ethics committee approval number and informed consent statement

  • Animal research: Include details of ethical approval and welfare compliance


9. Conflict of Interest & Funding

  • Declare any potential conflicts of interest and funding sources at the end of the manuscript


10. Plagiarism Policy

  • All submissions are screened for plagiarism

  • Manuscripts above the acceptable similarity threshold will be returned


11. Peer Review Process

  • All manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent expert reviewers

  • Acceptance is based on originality, scientific quality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope
